Self-Dedication/Candlemas

Senan!

Last night I performed a small self-dedication ceremony. I saw it mostly as an introduction of myself to the Lord and Lady, just a "Hey, in your service! Nice to meet you!" only better-phrased. I used candles in the place of statues because I haven't made mine yet. (Yes, I plan on making them. I'm pretty DiY whenever possible. I'll probably make some for me, some for the Coven, and some special ones for Keava (don't tell! It's a secret!) and anyone else who might decide to join. I have an Auntie who's been Wiccan for many years, and I might make some for her too.)

Candlemas ceremony was nice. I read from Buckman's Book of Witchcraft because I hadn't memorized it quite well enough to do any proper improvisation. At the end during my meditation period I found myself whispering some small private messages to the Lord and Lady. When I finished and closed the temple, I found myself in a state of bliss that I haven't felt for quite some time- if ever. I had an uncontrollable urge to call everyone I know and tell them how much I love them. I settled for just calling my boyfriend and babbling on his voicemail for five minutes, and I've been incredibly giddy since. Although, I did recently crash off of a caffeine high that's lasted all day, and the giddiness has faded a bit, I am still uncontrollably happy.

On another note, Snowe Valleye Coven is registered on Witches Voice, (www.witchvox.com) and within a few days has made contact with a Coven in Homer, Alaska! I don't know about you, but I love Homer and I hope that the communication we've started having with them is the beginnings of a bonding of Covens. That would be sweet.

Love and Trust!
Senan.
